3/4 | teaspoon | baking soda | |

1 | teaspoon | salt | |
|

2 | eggs, beaten | ||

1 1/2 | cups | buttermilk* | |
|
|||
4 | tablespoons | butter, melted | |
|
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
Grease an 8x8-inch pan.
In a large bowl, stir together cornmeal, flour, baking soda and salt.
In a smaller bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk and melted butter. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring only until smooth. Pour into greased pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

*No buttermilk? Substitute 1-1/2 tablespoons lemon juice and enough milk to make 1-1/2 cups.
